Tree Selection
Plant the right tree in the right place. Sounds simple enough, doesn’t it?
Plant the right tree in the right place. Sounds simple enough, doesn’t it? Tree selection can feel like an overwhelming task. You may have the size or shape of a tree in mind but are unsure which tree species to select. Or, it may be a problem site, such as a wet area that is your concern. What should you plant? Tree selection can seem a complex, time-consuming process, but it doesn’t have to be with the right information at your fingertips.
Nursery and landscape professionals are horticultural specialists who can steer you towards trees that will thrive in local conditions. When purchasing a tree, be prepared to tell your plant professional what the site and soil conditions are where you’re planning to plant. You may also want to let them know if there are any special features you’d like the tree to possess such as color, size, or ornamental flowers and fruit.
